Covid-19: Our response

Updated: March 17, 4:00 pm

A message  from Pastor Elam:

First and foremost we want to assure you that we are available for your spiritual and physical needs – please contact the church office if you have needs such as travelling to get medications or groceries.  Also, please, please let us know if you are tested positive for the virus.

We will never know if we are overreacting to the situation. However, if we underreact, the results could be devastating. As Christians, we are taught to put others above ourselves as well as be obedient to our government. There are many in our congregation who are in the ‘high risk’ category, so following our Lord’s command to ‘Love one another’ and not put them in jeopardy we have implemented the following:

1) Until further notice, the church campus will be closed. All activities on our church property are cancelled thru April 1 – this includes the office, Lenten services, Sunday services, Sunday School, all mid-week activities, and youth events.

2) HOWEVER, we will maintain as much normalcy as possible by conducting all services at their regular times using Facebook Live streaming.  This includes Lenten services, both Sunday Services, and an adult Bible Study.  Instructions for live streaming will be provided as we get things finalized.

3) All services will be recorded that you can view for playback thru our website.

As the situation evolves, we will certainly keep you informed. Please check your email, our Facebook page (@saintpaulmontgomery) and the website (stpaulmontgomery.org) regularly.

And as always, please do not hesitate to call if you have needs.
